Using an images folder rather than blogs.dir for images

Because my WPMU uses a lot of ‘handcrafted’ HTML pages that I just paste into the page, I have circumvented the blogs.dir to store images, instead using an “images” folder inside the “wp-content” folder. Is there any reason for not doing this? Will this affect performance (negatively) in any way?

i also used this method sometime:slight_smile:

i store some images from pages img in wp-content/global-images/

instead of using attachment which will store to blogs.dir sub folder under multinetwork.

so i don’t think they will cause any issue..just make sure the wp-content/images

    are readable chmod:slight_smile:
