Using Multisite Content Copier to add affiliate products does not recreate product URL

I have made a test affiliate/external product "Test product for subsite"
http://manyriversnetwork.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=3261&action=edit
to see if it is copied correctly but I run into trouble. See attached screenshot for how I have selected options, when I click copy the product is copied to each subsite but what is not copied is the Buy product-button (with the product URL).
If we take a look at the copied product in one of the subsites we see that none of the information under product data was copied.

What am I not doing right?
Thank you

    Hello Roger,

I tested this on my site and product was successfully copied as external product, with link, price, button text.
However I checked all the options available before copying

Can you try with all the options? I'm not familiar with Woo construction, but it might be that product type is some type of taxonomy.
Let me know how it goes.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

Hello Kasia, I have tried to find info on what copy parents means here but have found none. I would like to know what it does before I try it with that option checked since I have a lot of products in my shop and don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

When I do as you suggested the products still does not get copied into subsite correctly. See attached screenshot, when copied under Product Data it reverts back to Simple Product. The original item had settings under Product Data as External/Affiliate product.
I tried again as well just checking the boxes for Copy Images and Copy Terms.

Both ways of doing this reverts products back to Simple Product BUT if I click on External/Affiliate product the product url is copied correctly so that is not the problem.
The problem is the product reverting back to Simple product.

This is not a problem when you have 4 subsites but if there would be 400 it would be a problem to have to go into every subsite and switch from Simple product to External/Affiliate to get it to work correctly. Any clues to what could be the trouble? Thank you

    Hi Roger Haden,

Hope you are doing good today.

I have tried to find info on what copy parents means here but have found none

You can find all the details about the plugin in the product usage section, I'm quoting the excerpt from the usage guide:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/multisite-content-copier/#product-usage

Copy parents will also copy over the parents of all selected items.

In our example, the “My Listings” page is a child of the “Listings” page. So if this option is selected, and we only select the “My Listings” child page, both child and parent will be copied.

This is not a problem when you have 4 subsites but if there would be 400 it would be a problem to have to go into every subsite and switch from Simple product to External/Affiliate to get it to work correctly. Any clues to what could be the trouble?

This could be one of the reason, but to be sure, we would like to check your website, and it's configuration. Could you please enable support access, so that we could give a closer look?

You can grant access from WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access, or check this manual: http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

Please let us know once you enable access, so that we could get this sorted. Have a nice weekend.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
