Today I tried to swap using WP Super Cache to W3 Total Cache because they are now reporting the W3 Total Cache is working with Multisite and offers a global option for CDN support (which I really want to achieve).
Unfortunately, it doesn’t play well with Multi-DB. After install and Network Activation of W3 Total Cache I get WordPress Error can not connect to DB.
So, I tried to manually uninstall W3 Total Cache which is not well documented but I did find this article http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/36504/wordpress-manual-uninstall-of-w3-total-cache/
I had already done all the steps of removing everything which W3 Total Cache installed and reverting my wp-config.php but I am still getting the same error.
Items to note: On install it did not create a db.php file or a object-cache.php.
At the moment my sites are dead and I would really appreciate any thoughts on how to get them up and running. I have also reported this to the W3 Total Cache plugin support.
