We have an install of WP set up as a MU network, and for some reason, whenever we try and built a new site, the new site does not load; it only turns a “cannot display the webpage” error.
I went into review mode of this install and confirmed the following:
-the CPanel is set up correctly, with the wildcard subdomain
-the wp-config update is correct, matching the code output by WP when the network was set up
-the .htaccess is correct, matching the code output by WP when the network was set up
-blogs.dir is correct, and in place
-all plugins were network deactivated and the error still remained
-there seem to be no code snippets in the custom theme that would cause this problem
We have another install of WP in the same network form on a second partition of our cloud, and that network functions correctly. I compared the wp-config from both networks and they match, nothing seems out of order.
Also worth mentioning, I did the latest WP update just the other day. Don't know if this had any impact.
