what exactly is ProSites bulk upgrades ?

is this a method to offer discounts for extending yearly payments ?
is this a method to offer additional sites ?

the plugin backend settings states "One credit allows for one site to be upgraded for one year."
so 2 credits would allow for "1" site to be upgraded for "2" years ?
and does not imply "2" sites ?

if this applies only for extending the same site at a lower cost,
how therefore can the same user with same login credentials have more than one site ?

kind regards.

    Hey there @Randall,

Hope your well today and thank you for your question.

The credits are for years, so basically it allows the customer to buy credits and get it cheaper if they buy like 5 credits which in effect means they've pre-paid for 5 years.

is this a method to offer additional sites ?

No, to offer additional sites, the user would just go to wp-signup.php and sign up for a new site.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    ok thanks.
but still not clear on the second part of my question.
    the usage page states the following ;

"Pro Sites is per site, not per user. When they sign up for a single Pro subscription, the dashboard they are logged into when they subscribe is the site that is upgraded, and Pro features are only applied to that site, so if they are a member of another site they will not see Pro features on that site."

    i am still not clear,
    - 1 - can you please "spell it out for me" ?

    - 2 - but if the user goes to wp-signup.php as you said and they are already logged in and already have a pro site, the option would automatically be there for them to purchase another site ?
    - 3 - what credentials would they enter for that additional site ?

    - 4 - "how therefore can the same user with same login credentials have more than one site ?"

    - 5 - if starting with a free site a user can therefore have a million sites with the same email login ?

    - 6 - if they purchase another pro site they have to have a different email and password ? - essentially a different user ?

    Hiya @Randall,

Hope you're well today and thanks for your question.

A user can have a unlimited amount of sites with the same login and password, this is because each site has a unique ID number.

So the database tables would have that unique number, if you check the pro site upgrade with one site, you'll see pro site bid=46, where 46 is the site ID.

You can then visit the dashboard of whichever site you want to upgrade and click "Your account" within the admin area of that site, to upgrade that one.

Hope this makes sense and any queries or questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Jack.
