What template does twenty fourteen use for search results page?

  • PC

    Hey there,

    Thanks for your post.

    It uses search.php which you can find in the theme download folder.

    Here is the code for your reference :

    <?php
    /**
     * The template for displaying Search Results pages
     *
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Fourteen
     * @since Twenty Fourteen 1.0
     */

    get_header(); ?>

    	<section id="primary" class="content-area">
    		<div id="content" class="site-content" role="main">

    			<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>

    			<header class="page-header">
    				<h1 class="page-title"><?php printf( __( 'Search Results for: %s', 'twentyfourteen' ), get_search_query() ); ?></h1>
    			</header><!-- .page-header -->

    				<?php
    					// Start the Loop.
    					while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();

    						/*
    						 * Include the post format-specific template for the content. If you want to
    						 * use this in a child theme, then include a file called called content-___.php
    						 * (where ___ is the post format) and that will be used instead.
    						 */
    						get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() );

    					endwhile;
    					// Previous/next post navigation.
    					twentyfourteen_paging_nav();

    				else :
    					// If no content, include the "No posts found" template.
    					get_template_part( 'content', 'none' );

    				endif;
    			?>

    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</section><!-- #primary -->

    <?php
    get_sidebar( 'content' );
    get_sidebar();
    get_footer();

    I hope that helps.

    Cheers, PC
