What's uploadto for in MediaLibrary

I’m not sure of what UploadTo field is for in the MediaLibrary.

It looks like it’s used to associate an image to a post. I though it would set the feature image but it doesn’t (I’m not sure if there’s a way to set the feature image from that screen).

Where are picture saved?

    Hi @nager,

    Yes, this is used to associate an image with a most. From the media library, if you view an image that’s has “uploaded to” assigned, you’ll see that it’s URL now contains that post’s slug. So this is just for helpful categorization.

    The images are actually stored in wp-content/uploads folder.

    Yes that’s correct, you’ll have to go into the post to assign the featured image. There isn’t another way to do this. However, keep any eye out for the new WordPress 3.6 features. They’re making some changes to the post editor, so perhaps this will give you an advantage to your workflow.
