Where to activate upfront?

Hi all,

I am wondering, where should I activate Upfront builder? Is it best to activate on the root site or a subsite, created just for creating child themes to share across the network?

Also, is there any possible ways that I could allow subsite administrator to create their own themes using the Upfront builder without sharing it with others?

Hope someone can advise.

    Hello Mohammed Hamizan,

I hope you are well today.

If you just want to build themes to be distributed across your network, you can activate the Upfront Builder only on your primary domain, but don't activate it. This will prevent access to your subsites. Then, when you build a them, you can network activate it to make it available to your subsites.

Unfortunately, there's no way to limit downloading of the themes that are built in Builder. So, if you network activate the plugin for all sites, any theme they build, they will be able to download and do with what they want.

I hope this clarifies a bit.

    Best regards,

    James Morris
