Which Hosting Should I Buy for Pro Sites? Shared, VPS or Dedicated?
I am trying to create a website where you can buy hosting, domain and create websites.

Any recommendation for hosting?
Thank you

    Hello @David

    Welcome to WPMU community!

I hope you are well today and thanks for asking the question.

Which Hosting Should I Buy for Pro Sites? Shared, VPS or Dedicated?

Well, this depends on how many sites you have target to have

As you are doing this for business so that people can buy, so you have a big plan. In that case, I would buy a VPS. Dedicated server is better though, but expensive. Rather, you can start with a VPS and when your business is good enough, then you can move to a dedicated server.

I really recommend to avoid a shared server, as they have too much limitation on usage (though they will say unlimited offer, but nothing is unlimited). In a VPS, you can configure your server exactly as you like, and more importantly, VPS is much more faster than shared server.

Here are some links where you can buy VPS:
    https://www.digitalocean.com
    https://www.ramnode.com/
    http://vpsdime.com/

Hope it helps  Please feel free to ask more question if you have any.

    Cheers

    Hello @David

I hope you are well today.

Don't you think the specs of the giving are a bit low for the price?

Well, I don't think so. for example, in digital ocean the package for $10/month is standard, where in HG the almost same package is $24.99

Also those services are specialists for VPS. Personally I prefer Digital Ocean, their support is really great.

With this can I use domain mapping?
    And WHMCS MU Provisioning?

Yes, you can use those. But remember, as this is a VPS, you will have to configure everything manually. Like, you will just get a fresh computer and then do whatever you want

Haha thank you and I'm sorry if I ask a lot.

    No problem at all

Hope it helps  Please feel free to ask more question if you have any.

    Hello @David

I hope you are well today.

So if i buy the VPS do i have to install cpanel? It is not setup as a reseller or shared that has an admin panel?

Yes, you have to buy and install cPanel in your VPS. It is not setup like reseller or shared hosting. As I said, everything needs to be configured manually.

If you want ready-made then you can look for shared hosting, but note that, there will too many limitations in a shared hosting. More importantly, wordpress needs much more memory than other usual php application. So, when you will have lots of subsites in a shared hosting, your network will be deadly slow!

Hope it helps  Please feel free to ask more question if you have any.
