WHMCS WP Intergration (Nice URLS's)

Is there a better way for the URL’s to appear than these long strings? Is there a way to rewrite the URL’s for better SEO?

Thanks,

The encoder appears to provide a function to “Encode” a WHMCS native URL link, into a corresponding WP integrated link for use in menus, site links, etc.

It does not seem simplify the link in anyway. For example if I want to link directly from WP main site to the WMCS My Services page the “Encoded” link would look like this if the sites were not on the same host / domain:

    http://domainwp.com/account/?whmcsportal%5Bpage%5D=whmcs%3A%2F%2Fdomainwhmcs.com%2Fclientarea.php%3Faction%3Dproducts

That is not a short url, and gives away the location of the WHMCS install. So the question stands, can the spaghetti url’s be shortened / rewritten to provide clean visual and seo results?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

Hopefully directed to the wizard dev Arnold:

Just to elaborate… what would be great to see in WHMCS WP Integration is to mask the links with pretty permalinks such as is done in the similar plugin by Zingiri:

    http://www.zingiri.com/whmcs-bridge/

“Pretty permalinks: display links like http://www.mysite.com/clientarea/ rather than http://www.mysite.com/?ccce=clientarea. Also supports knowledgebase, announcement and download links.”

I would think this would need to be a feature added to a future release, however would it be possible to get a feel for whether or not such a feature is likely to happen?

Also, in the mean time, could this be done by adding rules in the .htaccess file? Any direction on this would be awesome!

    Greetings jonathon_tolzien and Jaden Black,

Thank you for your feedback and this clears the air on if this is indeed a feature request or not obviously being the former.

And thanks for bringing this up, it certainly sounds like a useful customization to the plugin.

Unfortunately as you know, it is not currently available – but we would love to put it into consideration for future development

I have moved this ticket to the applicable feature requests area and I have alerted the lead developer to the request.

It might take a bit longer than useful but alternatively, you could see if there’s a developer available at wpmu jobs who could get onto it right this minute

Thank you for being a WPMU DEV Community Member!

    Cheers, Joe
