Why do we get an Error message when we successfully upload an Avatar...plus it seems blurry.

Hi. We have installed and activated Avatars for Multisite.

1. But when I upload a PNG, I get the following error message:

There was an error uploading the file, please try again.

BUT the file has been successfully uploaded, and displays on front of site. Do you know why I'm getting the message and how I can prevent it displaying to users who upload their avatars.

2. Also, when I click on the 'alternative upload' button...I get shown a blank page with the same error message...and then it returns to the page I was on without taking me to any alternative...

3. The small square thumb that I view on front of site is very blurry...even tho' thro' Admin this same square pic looks clear. It's not a pixellated pic...but its quality is getting compromised. How can I ensure it remains crisp for front of site too?

Thanks.

    Greetings SAPeople,

Thank you for the great questions, they are certainly appreciated.

I have no idea why you would be getting this error message and what is even more bizarre is that it indeed uploads.

Could you please check you hosting control panel to see if there are any errors indicated?

    Is the /wp-content/uploads folder permission-ed 755?

    2. Also, when I click on the 'alternative upload' button...I get shown a blank page with the same error message...and then it returns to the page I was on without taking me to any alternative...

I cannot replicate either of these messages but I reserve to answer this question in lieu of the answers to the questions above.

Once we have these other issues handled we will check this issue out.

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe
