why private members groups are not private?

hello there,

I have created a member Group named private 2. This is not public. However, new subscribers can see it and select this from here http://edream.gr/wp-admin/admin.php?page=newsletters-subscribes
Am I doing something wrong?
thank you,

    Hello George,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

Initially, "private" groups in e-Newsletter plugin were designed to be hidden only from visitors. Registered and logged in users were still able to subscribe.

For legacy reasons that still the default behavior but you may change it and make "private" groups unavailable to anybody so only you - as an admin - could manage them. To do this, please go to the

"eNewsletter -> Settings -> User Persmissions"

page in your site's dashboard and scroll it all the way down to the bottom. There's a drop-down list for "Public group access" (it seems there's a "wording mistake" there as it says "public" instead of "private" option which you can either set to "Registered users" (default settings) or to "Nobody".

The first setting will make private groups act as they are now (unavailable for visitors, available for logged in users) and the second one will make them available only to you (so you will be able to add members to these groups).

    I hope that helps!
    Best regards,
    Adam

    Thank you for your reply,
The fault was the "wording mistake".

Can I see this list on the front end (attached picture yellow mark)?
I have these 3 lists for my website (plus 2-3 private lists for special users).

In the end, I am trying to create one page named user-profile
with subpages where user can access ALL the information
(userdata, picture, events, tickets, orders, shipping / billing from woocommerce / special fields etc.)
Can you thing something easy for my case (I can't read the code!)
    thank you!
    kind regards

    Hey there George,

hope you're doing really good today!

Can I see this list on the front end (attached picture yellow mark)?

It seems that no attached file got through our forums. Please consider the limitations here and try again.

If file size is the case, try using a third-party service like Dropbox, Google Drive etc. and provide a link.

In the end, I am trying to create one page named user-profile
with subpages where user can access ALL the information
(userdata, picture, events, tickets, orders, shipping / billing from woocommerce / special fields etc.)
Can you thing something easy for my case (I can't read the code!)

This can become tricky and there's no simple solution that I can provide you, as it depends on the exact information that you need to show (where does that come from and how is stored in database) and if you want to simple display them or having forms to update/delete them. I can see you referred to WooCommerce, so maybe a good approach is to extend the My Account page that comes with it.
For more basic functionalities around WP User model, you can use plugins like
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-frontend/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/profile-builder/
but considering data that comes from plugins, you should examine them one-by-one and see how this data can be retrieved and displayed.

    Hope that helps,
    Dimitris

    Dear Dimitris (?????????!)
    Thank you for your reply,
Here is the file (just forgotten!)

Regarding the plugins, I am already using https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login - very nice!

I think I need to start with my-account from woocommerce.
I don't mind if these information (new fields/plugins expected during the life of the website) are on a separate pages.
1 page for tickets, 1 page for products, 1 page for events, 1 page for user data, picture etc.
But, as you mention, we need user to gives this information one time, and this form or page (we use contact form 7) or ticket (we switched to awesome support) or newsletter subscriptions (we use mailpoet premium but we are not happy and we try eNewsletter)
Can we see something like the attached image in the front end?
Do you have any templates for eNewsletter available?
Here is our current newsletter http://www.e-dreams.gr/?wysija-page=1&controller=email&action=view&email_id=25&wysijap=subscriptions

thank you in advance for your help,
    kind regards,

    George

    Hello George

Hope you are well today and won't mind me chiming here.

Can we see something like the attached image in the front end?

List you cited in the picture is the configuration options list for plugin so it would not be possible for us to bring it on front end. !!

Do you have any templates for eNewsletter available?

No, plugin does not offer any pre-built templates. You need to create it according to your preference.

    Hope this helps you.
    Kind Regards,
    Milan
