Wiki Plugin – Can discussion be turned off for users that aren't logged in?

I’m considering using the Wiki plugin on a site for members of a non profit group, I want members to be able to contribute to the Wiki, and would like the wiki to be visible to the public but to avoid spam I would prefer that the discussion tab only be available to members who are signed in.

Can discussion be limited to site users and posters like editing is?

It would be great if the discussion could only be edited by people who can also edit the wiki.

If this is not currently possible I would like to request that this feature be added please.

Or alternatively can discussion be turned off?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hiya vtechdev,

First off, welcome to WPMU DEV

The wiki plugin uses the default WordPress comments for the discussion settings. By selecting Settings>Discussion “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” you will be able to do what you’re looking for.

Note that visitors can still read anything posted there – but not respond. Also, this will apply to regular blog posts as well.

    Hope this helps. Thanks!
