WordPress LTI: How to choose between ready to use plugin or develop new application?

We have a WordPress support ticket Plugin modified to track student assignments. We want it to be integrated with coursera platform. Support ticket has three main functionality viz., create ticket, update ticket and close ticket. It also has a back end table for filtering tickets. Could we make use of Saltbox WordPress LTI consumer and LTI connector for WordPress (SPV) for this purpose? or should we get a new one developed for this purpose?
