    Hey PC.

It really depends on the plugins.

If you Network Activated them then they won't show in the normal plugin admin area.

Some Network Activated plugins won't have admin panels on normal sites. Take BuddyPress as an example of that.

Some plugins will just Network Activate and appear on each site like it had been activated there. Were you referring to any of our plugins? We might be able to give a better idea on how they work when Network Activated.

    Take care.

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for writing back so fast.

For example as a network admin, I have installed your Blogs Directory plugin. Now when I check that in my main site, Its not available in the plugins or widgets. Now, how would I use that plugin.

I am not sure whether I am explaining it in a right way, but lemme tell you what I am trying to achieve.

I am trying to create a website like Word Press, on which I will offer my users with free websites/blogs, which they can upgrade as and when required. Also for different subscription levels, I would like to offer different themes and plugins which they would be able to use on their site.

I would just offer them to use the plugins and not download them.

Now, could u please advise me what all plugins would I need and in what order shall I install or activate them. I tried searching this almost everywhere but alas ! I did not find anything and its going way over my head :slight_frown:

    Regards,

    Hi PC,
See if "Enable administration menus" is checked
Settings -> Network Settings -> Menu Settings (which is pretty much at the bottom of the page)
That should allow site admins to view the plugins available that aren't networked enabled

    Hey again.

If you are referring to this plugin:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/blogs-directory

Then it is network activated, it creates the blog directory on the main site. You wouldn't get options on other sub sites.

Instructions for that plugin are here:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/blogs-directory/installation/

I am trying to create a website like Word Press, on which I will offer my users with free websites/blogs, which they can upgrade as and when required. Also for different subscription levels, I would like to offer different themes and plugins which they would be able to use on their site.

For that you can use our Pro Sites plugin:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pro-sites

You can create multiple levels with themes and plugins.

Now, could u please advise me what all plugins would I need and in what order shall I install or activate them. I tried searching this almost everywhere but alas ! I did not find anything and its going way over my head :slight_frown:

That really depends on what you are wanting to offer?

If you want to offer ecommerce then you might use our MarketPress plugin:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/e-commerce

If you wanted to allow people to run their own events you might use our Events + plugin:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/events-plus

So as you see that really depends on what you are looking for.

But plugins like the blogs Directory is network plugin, one which is on the main site once activated in the network.

    Take care.

    Greetings aecnu,

Thanks for the followup, I have been researching a lot and visiting the forums. I am yet to sort that out, if I am stuck again. I would follow your instructions and will reopen the topic.

    Cheers !
