WordPress site went down after PHP upgrading

My clients WordPress site went down after upgrading PHP. What might be the issue??

There is no debug log.

I had an old version of WordPress and manually upgrade it, but it didn’t help. Disabling of plugins and themes also didn’t help. I can’t provide FTP credentials as it’s my client’s site.

    Hey there darshan,

    hope you’re doing good today!

I can see from chat session you had with my colleague Katya that you can’t provide FTP credentials to further troubleshoot this.

That’s really unfortunate as it really limits our involvement here, so I kindly advise to reconsider!

No pressure on this though!

    What you could do is:

    a) rename /wp-content/plugins/ folder to /wp-content/_plugins/ which will deactivate all plugins (reference)

    b) proceed with general troubleshooting steps as shown here

(in case you don’t see any /wp-content/debug.log file, make sure that you visit the homepage after enabling WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php file and refresh FTP client to get the new file)

    c) use the proper .htaccess rules as shown here (depends on the nature of website, single or multisite, and in some older WP versions considering multisite specifically)

Let us know, if that makes any difference for you!

    Warm regards,
