WP Search Form - Is this HTML5 valid?

Hi there!

First off, I would like to wish all of you a happy new year! :smiley:

At the moment I'm building a new theme and I am wondering if the search form accepts the input[type=submit] inside the label.

From http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_search_form

<form role="search" method="get" class="search-form" action="<?php echo home_url( '/' ); ?>">
	<label>
		<span class="screen-reader-text"><?php echo _x( 'Search for:', 'label' ) ?></span>
		<input type="search" class="search-field" placeholder="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Search …', 'placeholder' ) ?>" value="<?php echo get_search_query() ?>" name="s" title="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Search for:', 'label' ) ?>" />
	</label>
	<input type="submit" class="search-submit" value="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Search', 'submit button' ) ?>" />
</form>

I altered it like this:

<form role="search" method="get" id="searchform" class="searchform" action="<?php echo home_url( '/' ); ?>">
						<label>
							<span class="screen-reader-text"><?php echo _x( 'Zoeken', 'label' ) ?></span>
							<input type="search" class="search-field" placeholder="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Zoek door onze pagina\'s...', 'placeholder' ) ?>" value="<?php echo get_search_query() ?>" name="s" title="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Zoek door onze pagina\'s...', 'label' ) ?>" />
						<input type="submit" class="searchsubmit" class="search_loop_icon" value="" />
						</label>
					</form>

This would allow the input:hover/active/focus[type=search] to connect to the input[type=search] with the current CSS3 specifications.

Of course it works at the moment on both Chrome and IE8 to 11 (IE7 is a lost case), but I was wondering if it's valid? Meaning that every browser will accept this without problems :slight_smile:

As always, thanks again for being an awesome community!
