[WP Smush Pro] Optimize images score is alwasy 10 after running Smush Pro

Hello,

We are trying to optimize our website with WPMU.
After working on those plugins for several hours, most of the tweaks have been done without any problem.

However, after running Smush Pro several times, the Optimize images score in the PERFORMANCE TEST is always 10.
According to the detail information, it shows that there are still 19 images need to be compressed and resized.
It also says that "you have 19 attachments that need re-compressing!" when we click the re-check images button in Smush Pro.

No matter how many times we run the BULK SMUSH, it keeps giving us the same result.

Any idea what the cause is and how to solve it?
Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,
Ken

    Hi Ken

Hope you are doing good today.

I took closer look you this preformance test:
    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.mandarinduck.net/WR6tfQds and your site source.

As you can see in above test all images have big width/height and they called in source to smaller HTML containers, for ex.:

https://www.mandarinduck.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Logo-mdo-1400.png is resized in HTML or CSS from 1434x1433 to 176x100. Serving a scaled image could save 62.4KiB (99% reduction).
So your theme/plugin call large image and resize it via css.

Unfortunately this is not Hummingbird, Gmetrix or PageSpeed Insights can deal with since your theme or plugin is written in the way to call the larger image, and even though the image is compressed Hummingbird, Gmetrix or PageSpeed Insights doesn't like loading image larger than its holder. They can only notify you about this issue.

In most cases there is two option to solve this:
    1. manually resize those images and reupload to FTP to correct path
    2. resize them via media library in wordpress
However your case is specific and I do not recommend that, because issue in here is your theme/plugin code.

Best Selling, Featured Products, Top Rated at the bottom of your page is a part of WooCommerce plugin. Ask your DEV can he edit this plugin code and change path to different/smaller thumbnails (remember that after plugin update all those changes will be lost).

Af for first image on that list, which is your logo, please resize this image on your PC to correct size. Youer header logo HTML container is 100px x 100px.

    Hope this help

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
