[WPMU DEV Dashboard] My site is too big (37gb) I would like to know what plugin to use to make it

I've been running Smush for the last 3 days and that's save 3gb already and it's only at 45% but I know that it's still gonna be way too big even after it's finished. I want to move the site to WPMUDEV for hosting but I'm trying to srhink it first. Any ideas?

    Hi DeMarus,

Hope you are doing good today and thank you for reaching out to us. Glad to read that Smush is helping you to reduce the size of Images.

Now let me help you with your query. In order to shrink the site, you need to identify what causes the site to consume much space. That can be media files, theme or plugin(s) files or Database.

With the release of WordPress 5.2, came a new tool built into core called “Site Health.” It’s actually pretty awesome and includes a lot of useful data about your WordPress site and server. With it, you can check the size of your WordPress directories and database.

In your WordPress dashboard, browse to “Tools ? Site Health ? Info.” Under the “Directories and Sizes” tab you’ll find the following info about your site:

    1) WordPress directory size

    2) Uploads directory size

    3) Themes directory size

    4) Plugins directory size

    5) Database size

Consider deleting unused plugin or theme files if you have any. Also, check if any old backups are consuming storage.

If its Database that needs to be optimized, here is a list of plugins that can help you: https://wpdatatables.com/wordpress-database-plugin/

Please read this article to know how to clean your media library: https://wpengine.com/resources/wordpress-media-library-clean-up/

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Nebu John
