WPMU Staffers - Google+ Marketing Page Needs a Refresh!

Hey staffers,

So, out of curiosity, I installed the G+ plugin to see how you handled various levels of author integration (for SEO purposes). The plugin looked LAME from the marketing splash page.

Boys and girls, I had no idea this thing was a full out API integration "Ultimate Facebook" style and my only gripe is that the two plugins should really be integrated to avoid wasting resources.

This is a nice plugin; full of features. It's a shame you don't talk about 85% of them unless someone actually installs it.

  • Imperative Ideas

    Hey Vaughn,

    I've also had an issue with the plugin not picking up one of my custom post types.

    I'm going to have to fix that by morning so I'll add a screenshot as well. I'll also show you that all post types are set to show none.

    The post type code is as follows:

     * Custom Post Type: Front Page Features
    class mojo_feature_section {
        function mojo_feature_section() {
        function create_post_type() {
            $labels = array(
                'name' => 'FP Feature',
                'singular_name' => 'Feature',
                'add_new' => 'Add New',
                'all_items' => 'All Features',
                'add_new_item' => 'Add New Feature',
                'edit_item' => 'Edit Feature',
                'new_item' => 'New Feature',
                'view_item' => 'View Feature',
                'search_items' => 'Search Features',
                'not_found' =>  'No Features found',
                'not_found_in_trash' => 'No Posts found in trash',
                'parent_item_colon' => 'Parent Post:',
                'menu_name' => 'Features'
            $args = array(
                'labels' => $labels,
                'description' => "Front page feature boxes sit below the slider on the main page. Only the three newest will display.",
                'public' => false,
                'exclude_from_search' => true,
                'publicly_queryable' => false,
                'show_ui' => true,
                'show_in_nav_menus' => false,
                'show_in_menu' => true,
                'show_in_admin_bar' => false,
                'menu_position' => 20,
                'menu_icon' => null,
                'capability_type' => 'post',
                'hierarchical' => false,
                'supports' => array('title','editor','thumbnail','revisions','page-attributes'),
                'has_archive' => true,
                'rewrite' => false,
                'query_var' => true,
                'can_export' => true
    $mojo_feature_section = new mojo_feature_section();

    Maybe you can make heads or tails of it...
