Many thanks for the detailed answers. I will remove Pro Sites then as I though this would allow me to automate the signup process for a new blog (which would become the new fundraiser site) and also take care of user registration but maybe I mis-understood this part.
I have New Blog Templates installed already so that's good, so all I'm missing now is how to keep users out of the admin section (I'll look at customising this) and the Stripe integration!
Thanks for the reply Adam, and I understand the workflow for adding private chats for moderators and also the need for the friends plugin too.
My point still stands, this plugin description is completely misleading. You should say that another plugin is required and that there is a long complicated process to even be able to achieve private chat functionality. as it stands, I wonder if everyone who downloads it realises the whole process above is needed before a user can chat privately? I'm guessing not...even after the process above, private chat is still not available in the actual plugin, but on the toolbar. So this assumes everyone has to have access to the admin toolbar (which they don't on my site) so you end up with two plugins, a chat room window with public messages, and an admin toolbar just to get private chat functionality.
If you don't think your plugin description is misleading then fine. I understand that if developers read all the info, install some other plugins and then ask users to connect to each other first, we might eventually end up with a private chat, but that should all be made clear on the product page.
I've wasted over 16 hours on this plugin to finally find out it's not what I need.
