Robert commented on Google-style SEO: how do I make it work with my WordPress site?Jun 19, 2017
I am a WPMU DEV member only for the month of June, after which my membership will terminate. How much will the SmartCrawl plugin cost me? -

Robert commented on How to navigate from he bottom of one "post page" to the top of the next?Dec 31, 2016
Hello Kasia, Rupok, and/or members of WPMU DEV Support Team, I have granted 5-day access to rhtpoetry.com to WPMU DEV Support. The 5-day access person started about 13 hours ago, around 00:01 (Los Angeles time) on December 30. I hope you will be able to clarify what needs to be done to put the "next arrow" (and "previous page arrow") at the bottom of each poem that I post instead of at the top. I want "natural paging" instead of having to scroll up to change the current "post page." I also want to know how to modify the Twenty Twelve theme to full page mode for both posts and pages. Failing that, can I reduce the width of the right-hand sidebar area? This may be properly asked on a separate ticket, but I can't see how to open one given the WPMU DEV Support emphasis on signing up for a free trial. Regards, Robert Thompson -
Robert commented on How to navigate from he bottom of one "post page" to the top of the next?Dec 29, 2016
Hello again Rupok, In my last post I meant to say that I want to know how to put Twenty Twelve into full-screen mode for all posts and pages--in other words, for all content. Robert Thompson -
Robert commented on How to navigate from he bottom of one "post page" to the top of the next?Dec 29, 2016
Hello Rupok, I installed and activated a child theme (Theme Twenty Twelve being its parent) called "Turn Page" using the One-Click Child Theme plugin, then entered the text you recommended into the style.css file of Turn Page, but when I checked a three-page post entry on my website the nav arrows were still at he top of the page. Should I have specified the target code in the Twenty Twelve theme that the code in the child theme was supposed to override? I presumed that was done with the div.pdfemb-toolbar-top code in the child theme. I also need to know how to put Twenty Twelve into full-screen mode for all posts. I understand the Twenty Twelve theme has a full-screen option. Robert Thompson -

Robert commented on Changing multi-page posts to single-page postsDec 27, 2016
Hello Rupok and/or the WPMU DEV support team, Thank you for your prompt responses to my query on this ticket. I want to put my website online almost immediately, and think I'd better go with what I have rather than making changes at this point. It seems to me that going from one "post page"to the next is feasible but awkward at present, and I may want to make the changes you suggest at a later date, but perhaps it would be better to start all over and enter my poems as HTML texts. I think, though, I will open a new ticket to see if I can get some help with making the process of navigating through the pagination of long posts a little less awkward. I think this ticket can be considered as resolved. -

Robert commented on Can't schedule uploaded file for publlcation. Theme: Experon.Dec 25, 2016
Hello again Nithin, I have enabled access to my website for WPMU DEV. But maybe it won't be necessary to do anything about this. I may just have neglected to update my scheduled publication before viewing the uploaded poem. In any case, I seem to have "Hark, Hark! the Lark" properly included with "All Posts" and I can presumably include it on my website (I haven't checked that last part yet). I did follow the flowchart and deactivated my plugins, then reactivated them one by one and found no plugin problems. Maybe everything is OK now and I'm ready to go online! Thanks for your help and suggestions. Regards, Robert Thompson -
Robert commented on Can't schedule uploaded file for publlcation. Theme: Experon.Dec 25, 2016
Hello Within, Yes, I was busy deactivating and reactivating my plugins between about an hour ago (that is, between about 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. local time = Los Angeles time). Despite the 404 messages I was getting with the information that the file couldn't be edited for scheduled publication because it was in the trash, I didn't find any conflicts among the plugins, but I was able to schedule publication in "Quick Edit." (I set the schedule to last night, and was able to access the poem in my website by going To "Posts." Then I reset the schedule to next Tuesday.) So it appears the problem was not fatal, but also that everything isn't as it should be. Maybe it was an operator error on my part? What I have done is produce the text of my poems, also the border and background color, in Microsoft Word, then converted the .docx file to .pdf, then uploaded the file as an image. In the future I'll try to produce my poems using HTML and CSS. I want to change the ,docx files of some of the poems that I've already uploaded, so I'll have more opportunities for running into trouble. I will now go ahead and make sure support access for WPMU DEV is enabled. Robert Thompson
