Hello there --
I was provided this link by a support person, "Lamda", from Jetpack. After exploring an issue with viewing stats on a couple of sites with a programmer who did some custom work, I turned to Jetpack since it is their plug-in which is affected.
After I changed out themes, and they deactivated plugins, Lamda discovered that apparently the issue is a conflict with this plugin and their stats plugin. It seems the issue is occurring primarily due to some conflict between the latest version of WordPress, Jetpack, and WPMUdev plugins.
re: the two lives sites at JPManey.com AND Tao-not-Dow.org, the past sites at jp.JPManey.com, and the test site at test.JPManey.com
The above two live sites are related to each other. These are both new installs, although the domain JPManey.com has had a site for a few years. That site is now available for reference at jp.JPManey.com.
On the two new sites/installs (JPManey.com and Tao-not-Dow.org), I am the only one who can access site stats under Jetpack > Site Stats.
When my friend Jim Maney (whose sites these are) attempts to access stats OR anyone else uses that login OR any new users attempt to use that login, the stats never populate when attempting to access the stats in the sub-category under Jetpack (in the back-end access). The stats CAN be viewed at the Jetpack home tab, just not under the "stats" sub-tab.
HOWEVER, we did not have this issue with the original site (now found at jp.JPManey.com). That install is using Jetpack version 4.1.1. The WordPress version for the original site is WordPress 4.6.2; and is running on an older Organic Themes theme (Fresh).
The new installs are running on updated WordPress install, updated Jetpack, and a different and new Organic Themes theme (Swell).
It doesn't matter if we try this on Chrome (updated), Mozilla (updated), Edge (updated), or Opera (updated). I've had people try from various locations in the US and Europe. Jim Maney is located in Ireland, where he has been for well over a year. I'm in Northern Florida, friends and tech support are in Nebraska, Texas, and western BC, Canada.
I've tried this on three different computers; two ASUS gaming laptops, one an ASUS gaming desktop. All pretty much maxxed-out, resource-wise. Others have tested on various PCs.
I've provided WPMUdev access which can be used on all four domains (the new installs at JPManey.com and Tao-not-Dow.org which are not showing stats to anyone not logged in with my credentials ... and at jp.JPManey.com which can view stats under the stats tab and a test site at test.JPManey.com so feel free to do or change anything to this last one.
Please note that on the test site, we have changed out the theme, and Lamda at Jetpack deactivated the Custom Sidebar Pro plugin which is why under JP Maney login, the site stats can now be viewed. Activate that plugin, while logged in under any account but mine, and site stats cannot be viewed under that tab.
If you need to add an user for testing purposes on any of the domains, feel free to do so.
I'll be looking to see if you'all need anything else.
Thank you for your assistance,
