Detail

So, you’ve got users who are posting comments to multiple different sites on your network.

And you want a way to be able to catch all of these comments – just by that user – in one feed… regardless of what site they are posted on.

Well, that’s exactly what this plugin provides you with, a feed just for a selected author that amalgamates all their comments into one big RSS job.

Check it out!

It’s really straightforward too – with no pesky options to worry about – once it’s installed just modify the feed URL with the users ID like so:

http://yourdomain.tld/wp-content/recent-global-author-comments-feed.php?author=USERID

So, if your user ID is #3 then the feed url for that user will be

http://yourdomain.com/feed/recent-global-author-comments/?uid=3

And how would you use it?

Here’s just some examples:

  • Using a theme like WPMU-Dixi which pulls RSS feed onto it’s homepage,
  • By adding it to a 3rd Party RSS feed widget in the side bar
  • Alternatively readers can subscribe to it using feed readers such as Google Reader

Plus all the support you expect from a WPMU DEV plugin.

As usual, we’re constantly refining this project and adding new features all the time.

So become a WPMU DEV member, check it out, and let us know what you’d like to see included in a future release of Global Author Comments feed.
